littorio class battleships
Vince Publisher is Seaforth Publishing and they are at www.seaforthpublishing.com a subsidiary of Pen and Sword books here in England. This is a translated version of an Italian publication, priced here at £45.00 but well worth it. I actually got it off e-bay for £31.00 from a bloke quite near to whe...

Littorio class battleships
I have just bought this book, and whilst it is possibly a bit off topic on this site,I would advise anybody interested in WW2 and Italian Military of the era to buy it. I have not yet read it but it's one of those books that by just a quick flick through it and handling it,you know you have a winner....

I have just found a source for these resin kits here in the UK.
They have SVA-5 and Ca3's amongst their range.Seems they are a Polish concern.
Anybody made one of these kits?
Happy New Year

Thanks for the reminder of Guilio's article,Vince(which I had read, but just re-read it)but again, there is no mention of flying S79's in S82's. I have also just read'Air war in East Africa 1940-41'by Pen & Sword books which again do's not refer to this method of transporting S79's. I don't know where...

mushroom publications CR42 book
I have just finished the above book-quite good, lots of pics and detail. It makes a statement that CR42's were flown to East Africa inside S82 airplanes, which,I think,is common knowledge. It then go's on to say,in a footnote, that 45 S79 bombers were transported in the same way!!!! I have never heard ...

effectiveness of camo schemes
I just idly wondered, with the plethora of RA camo schemes, were some more effective than others, hence the ongoing changes? Obviously this would be affected by the area of operation-you would'nt use a desert scheme in Northern Italy and vice versa. It's something I don't recall being mentioned in book...

Whilst Ian Allan may have the books, check the prices first and also their post charges. Since they took over Midland Publishing they have whacked up the postage to the Isle of Wight(where I live) to an eye-watering £7.50. I also found that Italian railway books are cheaper direct from the publisher ...

Arditi1961 I can't say I've heard anything like that before about one of the co-authors. Where-ever they got their information, there is a lot of it,and perhaps we should be grateful to them for assembling it all in one accessable book. As I said,I found the layout of the book unusual to start with b...

Camo and markings of the ANR 43-45
I've just bought this book, and I have to agree it's extremely comprehensive. At first I found the layout a bit strange, but then I used a couple of bookmarks and found my way through it OK. It's a pity another one was'ent done for the R.A. years, but then as one of the authors has retired,I suppose we...

Gregory-kit of the year........... The Italeri SM82,well presented, parts very clean and can do 3 different versions;also slightly unusual model,by that I mean off the mainstream types. Excellent book included and the box art is reproduced as a seperate item so that you can frame it. That's my nomina...
