i finally got hold of the sparviero in 1/48 scale by trumpeter.
fantastic kit for this glorious plane with a lot of details but not many options
for some different versions.i would like to know if possible what colours to use for the camouflage and some suggestions on how to achieve the pattern.i would also like to know a little bit about the aircraft squadriglia 283a and its theater of operations
thank you very much
ciao regards
stefanuccio

You can spruce the Trumpeter kit up with photo etch details from Eduard. There is a Big Ed Kit that contains p-e detail for engines, interior and exterior and a paint mask.
Alphaflight makes some resin goodies but I think they are for the Classic Airframes kit. I think the torpedo will work on either kit. As for getting the Alphaflight stuff, good luck. There was no place ConUS who had the stuff but I did find a hobby shop in Itlay that had some of it. As for Africa, who knows!
Sky makes some decals for the SM.79. You know, I even think there are some resin aftermarket engines for it as well.
And you might want to get ADI #28, too.

Ciao Stefano,
The colors your listed below are all plausible for the S.79. Click the color guide in the link below and scroll down to the GAVS/CMPR Color Chips and look for S.79 camo schemes:

Also review the Gallery and look for some of Jean's articles on the subject.
