Piaggio P108 colours

Post by Luftwoller » Wed Mar 24, 2010 7:07 am

Hi all, my bench is clear and the next up is the Piaggio P108B. My question is this, the box art and the instructions call for the night intruder coulours of dark green over grey but id rather like something a little more multi coloured. I have a feelling there was a scheme that had the awkward 3 colour camo scheme, similar to Jean Barbys Cant 1007? Any pics or advice would be great,

Piaggio camo

Post by D520 » Wed Mar 24, 2010 1:22 pm

The CANT camos and Piaggio ones have in common to use the same colors and that's all. Piaggios used the C10 Macchie continue verde e marrone mimetico su fondo giallo mimetico or green and brown blotches on a yellow base using GM2 or 3 VM2 BM or Marrone 53193. CANT wore the C10A variant with the typical patterns called Policiclica with GM 3, VM 3 and marrone 53193. I am sur that doing this camo in 1/72nd scale on a beautiful plane like the P.108 will be very demanding on your airbrush skill. There is however no way to obtain a better result; Best regards, jean.

Guy, I just looked it up and it seams that this sight is out of stock. Maybe Vince can order it for you. If not, try one of the other sights like Mister Kit from Italy or Squadron or Great hobby.
