The original Star Trek TV series is a classic and is why I couldn't get off the original series and movies ie., Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner. I remember as a kid William Shatner visiting our grade school in Toronto - he did allot of that and it seems he's not recognized for it. He's also a frequent guest at Movie and Comic Book expos around the globe.

I'd left a post on your "Star Trek or Star Wars?" thread. Star Trek-TOS easily was the best of 1960s "space opera" sci-fi. "Lost In Space" was an extended series of morality tales for pre-teens recycling as many old 20th Century Fox props as possible IMHO only the first B/W season was worth watching. "The Time Tunnel" was only other 1960s sci-fi "hardware" series I'd liked, had great "home" sets patterned after those in MGM's "Forbidden Planet" i.e. Krell "Great Machine" & "Laboratory" sequences but suffered from bad scripts though greatly liked Episode 4 "The Day The Sky Fell In" which is close to my pining going back in time at my current old age to warn Mom, Dad & late brother what's going to befall them by not taking particular medical actions to extend their lives "a bit longer" etc., i.e. 2001 if not earlier.

- > All Model Kit Decals sans Rudder House of Savoy Crests applied today January 2, 2019.

> White Distintivo di Guerra Rudder Crosses still need to be painted on Rudder outsides; Model Kit House of Savoy Crest Decals are too large, most fortuitously found right-sized set out of scrap decal bag to apply after rudder crosses are painted on.

- > Rear Gunner/Radio Operator Fuselage Canopy, cut, trimmed, masked for painting today as well.

> Canopy Frames spray painted Testors Flat Black & White Special Mix enamels then after drying Humbrol 91 Matt Black Green + 36% Testors Flat White replicating Verde Oliva Scuro 2.

- > Entire model sans Rudders, Rear Gunner/Radio Operator Fuselage Canopy, Propeller/Spinner Assemblies, Main Landing Gear Doors over sprayed Testors Model Master Clear Semi-Gloss lacquer today as well.

- > Resin Model Kit 12.7 mm Breda-SAFAT Machine Gun too short & brittle, replaced it with longer already painted injected plastic one from parts spares bag, trimmed resin kit gun plug-mount section, gluing it on injected plastic gun, touch-up painting the entire Gun Assembly today as well.

> After drying glued the Gun Assembly on the Rear Gunner/Radio Operator Fuselage Gun Mount.

- > Rear Gunner/Radio Operator Fuselage Canopy glued on today as well, got good results Very Happy

- > All Landing Gear & Door Assemblies glued on Model today January 3rd.

> Model kit lacked Main Landing Gear Retraction Struts, fabricated & spray painted them with Testors Flat Aluminum enamel paint yesterday & today.

> Brass Main Landing Gear Parts casted tad short well as misaligned, resin mounts for them on Mainwings needed to be re-drilled & built-up with putty, misalignments bent out before & after gluing on the parts, got good results.

- > White Distintivo di Guerra Rudder Crosses spray painted on Rudder outsides followed by applying House of Savoy Crest Decals, gluing them on Model Tailplanes, stringing Radio Antenna with EZ Line thread completing the Model build tomorrow January 4, 2019.

The STORMO Magazine Webmaster has asked me to write a series of articles with photos of Italian air force models I'd built in the past to post on STORMO so will suspend model kit building to write them well as organize family photos I'd recently retrieved from relatives after writing the STORMO articles. Am anticipating all work should be completed by mid-January 2019 afterwards commence building the LF Models Macchi C.200bis & C.201 resins.

Commencing photography & writing tomorrow, rain & wind this weekend, on-off rain till the 14th, "perfect writing weather" Laughing no dry & cold nights & mornings for a while, super Very Happy about that!
Barring a 100-year event still too early for snow here, hasn't been any in years but maybe this winter. February 16-17 1990 was worst to date, six inches+, 3 days no power, Freezing My Butt Off it be! If we'd gotten a foot would'a been serious situation even today, U.S. 50 would be opened up but not the back roads possibly for days. Am lucky there's a CVS within walking distance of me, just hope they've got enough food to tide over if couldn't get to the supermarkets other end of Cameron Park.

You'd be surprised how the first snow creates traffic jams all over Calgary and really most northern (US&Can) cities, it takes a few weeks each year to get settled in. Having lived all my life through long winters, whatever inconvenience you suffer is incomparable to what we go through up here - you got it good in Calif. - weatherwise that is - not sure about the politics. Often you hear that Canadians get used to the cold, but that's really not true.

"Check Your STORMO Email" Wink Nasty wind & rain here right now, more coming tomorrow, "perfect" weather for writing STORMO articles Very Happy We're going to have rain off & on till mid-month, unusual given January typically is dry near all month, do wonder if we're in for snow before Winter's out, if so will be the first for me since moving out of the folks house in November 2015.

- > Busy for days writing kit build articles for STORMO, today completed one couple more to write this weekend.

- > Such articles were nigh impossible to write prior to the Internet insofar as what "The Web" offers in way of research resources, ever more appreciative now of those who'd compiled it all over the decades that's for sure!

- > Am shooting for commencing work on building the LF Models Macchi C.200bis & C.201 kits by January 15th, first ones this year, likely the last Saetta variants will ever build closing out 50 years of having built 1/72nd scale models of such commencing with a 1968 first-issue H-657 Revell C.200 as part of the three-n-one H-677 Revell Pioneer Fighters series quizzingly in with H-656 Curtis P.26A & H-658 P.36A.
