G-55 plans needed
G-55 plans needed
Does anyone have the correct plans for Fiat G-55 Sottoserie 0? I need to check the difference of some panels between Sottoserie0 and the production version.
There is a great diagram on The Camouflage & Markings of the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana 1944-45 by Gabriele Valentini and Ferdinando D'Amico that shows the differences between the early and late G.55s.
Just build it!

I have both books, but neither of them has plans for Sottoserie 0 wing upper surfaces (I need to know exactly how these looked like, since I'm modifying panel lines on a model). I have one more question about "Camouflage & Markings of the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana 1944-45". Does that lower wing panel with those fairings (in front of the ventral air intake - page 97) overlap the surrounding panels, or is it in the same level with them?

Panels on the G55 Sottoserie 0 wings
If you go to the site:
www.hyperscale.com
and at the voice "Features" look for Fiat G55 Prototype, in an old article of mine you will find an image showing the wings and the relevant panels of sottoserie 0, from the "Catalogo Nomenclatore" (Spare Parts catalogue, original Fiat documentation)
Unfortunately the panel in front of the ventral air intake is not represented but looking to the photo at pag 51 of Ali d'Italia (third photo, right side at 3/4 high) the panel seems to overlap.
That's all I was able to find

Operative G55
Hi Jose
According to my documentation only the three prototype were camouflaged in that way and one prototype was in force of 353°Squadriglia in Sardegna, so I think only this with this camouflage was operative
