Help on Camouflage colours of Fiat G-50 Spanish Civil War

Post by Elias » Tue Jul 08, 2008 3:52 pm

Hi to all!
I'm in the process of painting the kit of Fiat G-50 Serie I from PAC Models in 1/48.I'll paint it in a Giallo Mimetico 1,Marrone Mimetico 1,Verde Mimetico 1 camouflage.
I used Giallo Mimetico 1 from White Ensign colours as the basic 'sand' colour. The problem is that is a bit too beige, not as 'yellow' i thought, and i'm confused if it's ok to use it.
I have the same problem with other White Ensign colours such as Marrone Mimetico 1 (too green).
Any help would be much helpfull.
When i finished it i'll post some photos.
Thanks.

Hi Elias,
Try matching WEM paints to the following color chips from the CMPR reference:

Use base colors such as white to make the necessary matches. Its a little bit a hassel but you can get a failry accurate match.

Thanks for the help Vince!
I bought the WEM colours to avoid mixing but it seems that i have to do this if i want an accurate camouflage.

Hi Elias,
I actually applied WEM directly. WEM are pretty good to spray on for tight camo schemes as in my CR.32.
