I have a strong suspicion that it's the same as this book:
http://www.amazon.com/Courage-Alone-Ita ... pd_sim_b_2

... which is a revised re-issue of this book, which is OOP:
http://www.amazon.com/Courage-Alone-Ita ... 1902109023

Apart from being the same subject matter, the image of the book cover in Jose's link is probably an alternative cover design that was changed before going to print.

I do not understand. Why should he publish yet another book about the same subject? That is to say, the Regia Aeronautica 1940-1943. I see it has a subtitle "A Combat History". Isn't that what 'Courage Alone' is all about?

Hi guys, this is the Amazon product description of the book:

"This new highly illlustrated and comprehensive book covers the history of the Italian Regia Aeronautica (Italian Air Force) from 1940 to 1943 - an area of aviation history of increasing interest to historians, enthusiasts and modellers. The book portrays the aircraft and camouflage and markings of the various aviation arms of the Italian Regia Aeronautica that flew a wide range of aircraft and its machines were invariably colorfully camouflaged for tropical and over-water use and richly emblazoned with individual, tactical and unit markings, making for popular modelling subjects. They flew in several operational theatres between 1940 and 1943 including France, Belgium, Yugolsavia, Russia, Greece, North Africa, and in British and Italian Somaliland and Ethiopia, and produced a number of 'aces' such as Teresio Martinoli, Franco Lucchini, Leonardo Ferrulli and Franco Bordoni-Bisleri (all of whom scored 19 kills or over). All aircraft are covered; day fighters, bombers, dive-bombers and ground-attack units and aircraft and maritime and transport aircraft and packed with photographs and aircraft close-ups and detail, this is an ideal volume of reference for aviation modellers, particularly all those with a specific interest in Italian aviation and historians alike."
Just build it!

Although not exactly the same as the description Amazon gives for Courage Alone, it says pretty much the same thing.

Well, for what I uderstand This book might cover the areas of camouflage colors similar to Coleri e Insigne by Paolo Waldis and Marino De Bortoli.

Very interesting... I've looked on Amazon's UK site and is there to pre-order, which I have done. Sorry if I appeared to be a bit sceptical.

I got it as a Christmas present and I can recommend it.
It is meant more for the hystorian than the pure modeller, but still a
magnificent and comprehensive reference book.

I just got got my copy and read it from cover to cover.

It is nothing like Courage Alone.

This review is spot on, in my opinion.

Sadly, yes.

It is actually retrograde (in the non-astronomical sense).

Main Entry: 1ret·ro·grade
Pronunciation: \ˈre-trə-ˌgrād\
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English, from Latin retrogradus, from retrogradi
Date: 14th century
(1) : moving, occurring, or performed in a backward direction (2) : occurring or performed in a direction opposite to the normal or forward direction of conduction or flow — compare anterograde 1 c : contrary to the normal order : inverse
2 : tending toward or resulting in a worse or previous state
