I found two different interpretations of image below (153G, MM9083, flown by Maggiore Andrea Favini)
I would like to hear you opinion on color(s) of "CLIII" marking, the badge and the thin vertical tail-band:

Any opinion is welcome.

Aleksander,
The blue and white is new to me. It looks good in the blue and white, but I prefer the red and white myself. Sorry I can't offer more than a personal opinion my friend.Best of luck with this project.
Highest Regards,

One trick is to determine which color is the background of the "asso di bastoni" insigna as the band is the same color. Normally the background of the insignia is red, so is the band, I have serious doubt about the blue, but I might be wrong too! Cheers, jean.

Jean is right in his reasoning, but the 153 Gruppo shield background, the band and also MM and fin writings were all blue.

(both pictures by: M. Di Terlizzi, Macchi MC.202 Folgore part 2, IBN Editore, Rome, 2000, ISBN 88-86815-62-X)

The red came by a wrong interpretation in elderly Profile Publications no. 28, Anno Domini 1971. That mistake lasted throughout years. The second profile by Angelo Brioschi has been corrected later by the same Author.

(Ali e Colori n. 4 - Aermacchi C.202, La Bancarella Aeronautica, Turin, 2002)

I consider the latter profile most reliable.
Best regards
Stefano

The cover art of Osprey's "53 Stormo" in their Aviation Elite Units series also shows the stripe as blue. The cover artwork is by Mark Postlethwaite. A good book, too.

Thank you for your opinions, gentlemen.
I posted this question in doubt of Hasegawa's decals, where everything is red...

Oh well, some other scheme it is...
