Hello Emanuele, thank you for offering interior photos of the SM-79, yes I would greatly appreciate you sending them to my email of katalina@iprimus.com.au. I have detailed the interior on two aircraft and need to check certain detail is correct. Do you have a photo of the front cover for the bombadiers gondola. I think it slides up into the aircraft fuselage when the aircraft is in flight and is lowered when landing to prevent the front perspex being damaged. If you know what happens with the front cover of the bombadiers gonola (if it does slide up or not please let me know , it is only my opinion that it moves to provide better forward visibility. I look forward to your answer, many thanks Bill (sparrowhawk).

If any one knows the answer to my question I would very greatful to receive your reply, thank you. Regards Sparrowhawk.

Your opinion is right. It is true that bombardier's flat windscreen was protected by a faired metal screen. You can see it in this drawing by the S.79 manual (no. 9).

It slided upwards on two rails, towed by a steel cable.
Here you can see it by inside.

This device was also kept in torpedo-bombers S.79s, though it was useless and the whole gondola with that duty was just an airstream drag.

Caro Emanuele,

RingraziandoLa anticipatamente dell' aiuto,

Cordiali Saluti
