Second Entry

Post by Editor » Sat Dec 06, 2008 8:08 pm

This man needs no introduction. I take great pleasure in presenting the Second Entry to this Year's Smoke Ring Buildoff; Maurizio Di Terlizzi's 1/32 Craftworks ANR C.205V. The model is all resin with highly modified interior and exterior. I'm sure Gregory will appreciate this entry :)

Vince,
You know me well,I surely do appreciate the scale. Who wouldn't also appreciate the artistry of Maurizo always excellent projects.I know that he has other fanstastic Regia Aeronautica (Many) projects I'd love to see posted here on STORMO. I wasn't aware Maurizo was a member here.
This Smoke Ring contest just got even harder to judge the best. There's no shortage of talent here. Thanks Vince for STORMO.

Regards,
Gregory Jouette

Bravo Maurizio!!
Your work is just fabulous!
The Macchi looks like the real thing.
I to was not aware that you are a member here at Stormo!
I have all of your books and look forward to buying new ones.
Would you consider maybe sharing an article or two here at Stormo, on say, Buscaglia, Cimicchi or Graziani? As far as I know, there isn't even one publication in English on any of these great Torpedo Bomber Aces.
Any thoughts,
Thanks,
Vincent.

4th Contest Entry

Post by Editor » Sun Dec 21, 2008 10:14 am

Another interesting entry, today the fourth Contest Entry comes from Ferdinando Paron with his Hasegawa 1/48 C.205V. The model was built using resin detail parts by Jaguar. The camouflage was applied using Gunze and Humbrol paints, free-handed sprayed using a Badger 100LG airbrush. All identification numbers were airbrushed using masking tape. The "Vespa Arrabbiata" badge and the "cloud" are hand painted.

Sorry for not entering the contest, I don't have the required six images, but here's two images of a 1/48 Hasegawa Macchi C.205 I built a few years ago. The smoke rings are hand sprayed with an Iwata Eclipse. I used Tamiya paints. The kit is OOB except for some p-e seat belts.
