macchi folgore smoke rings regia aeronautica/cobelligerante

Post by stefanuccio » Thu May 28, 2009 5:09 pm

hallo all
do macchi mc 202 folgore of the R.A. and Cobelligerante have exactly the same colour scheme with the only difference of numbers and insigna?
in other words are both in nocciola chiaro 4 overall
verde oliva scuro smoke rings
grigio azzurro chiaro undersurfaces
verde anticorrosione interior/wheels well
i am probably asking a stupid question but sometimes i get confuse by looking at some of the hasegawa paint scheme instructions which requires different mixing of paint to obtain the nocciola chiaro 4 for example
thank you
ciao!

Yes, they are the same scheme although, on the CoB aircraft, there would have been some sign of overpainting of the RA fuselage band, wing roundels and rudder cross etc.

According to mr Brioschi, who prepares all the drawings for the series Ali d'Italia and has performed a deep research on Macchi airplanes, the wheel weel color is the same of the lower wings surfaces. i.e. Grigio Azzurro chiaro

ciao Riccardo
thanks for the specific comment about the wheel well always a point of indecision for me
however is this type of detailes that make a good model from an average one and that is i think the core of modeller like me that care very much about details which make models really "historical"

also if you are a Fiorentina fanatic like me "forza Fiorentina" for sunday!!!
ciao
