Airmodel 1/72 Ro-44

Not the easiest vac-form to do, but still a fun build. Scratchbuilt additions, homemade decals. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p4/mlacivita/fine003-2.jpg http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p4/mlacivita/fine002-3.jpg http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p4/mlacivita/fine001-2.jpg http://i124.photob...

Airfix 1/72 Bristol Beaufighter

It ended his career in Italian markings. Airfix 1/72 Bristol Beaufighter, out of the box. Kit courtesy of Allan Buttrick. <im...

Tongue in cheek no. 2: did you know that during a recent Frecce Tricolori aerobatic show in Lybia, the Colonel asked the Italian Commander only use green smoke trails to celebrate Lybia's national color, instead of the usual tri-color smoke? Do you guess what the answer was? I would have imagined a...

I'm not sure what Italy has to gain from taking part in these attacks Italy's position is quite...uncomfortable: our oil and gas needs are fulfilled in a large part from Lybian supplies, we need help from lybia to prevent illegal immigration from Africa, many Italian companies have commercial inter...

I agree Vince, it doesn't appear there's an end game in sight. My question is, what's the purpose of bombing and establishing a no-fly zone without regime change? Unfortunately for Italy, although the Allies will bomb Libya into the stone-age, Italy will end-up with thousands of Libyan refugees. Yo...

Those are Humbrol enamels, with various post-shading. Let me go home and I'll be able to tell you which numbers I used for the 74/75/76

I wonder if any other model company would take the moulds. But I fear that they will never sell the stuff at ten dollars again...(which means 7 euros, the price of an Airfix series 1)...

oooops...Grazie, Riccardo. Seems I'll have to locate some Squadriglia codes (light blue?) and erase the white crosses on the tail to improve the accuracy of this one. Will I do it, or will I leave it as is? Who knows...

Airfix 1/72 Dornier Do217 J-1

235th Squadriglia CN - Capt. Aramis Ammannato - July 1943 I have not found any pictures of the sides or top of this aircraft, so the markings are a mere hypothesis. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p4/mlacivita/07030.jpg http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p4/mlacivita/07028.jpg http://i124.photobu...

LOL, Vincent...ok, I stand corrected. But you know...when it comes to Italian pilots scoreboard, any number could be correct, since there was a little confusion about criteria, and "sometimes" (tongue in cheek) pilots were prone to overclaiming.
