Re: Hasegawa 1/48th Macchi C.202 Folgore flown by Adriano Visconti

It was an interesting challenge. You have to thin the Verde Oliva Scuro just right so you don't get puddles or spiders, turn the pressure WAY down, get really close, and keep wiping the build-up off the tip. It didn't turn out perfectly, but I'm pleased.

Re: IPMS/USA Quarterly article

Hi, Richard; Nope, not dealing with CMPR/Vito/Humbrol. Cook gives brief history, numerous illustrations of insignia, illustrations of aircraft markings (data block, manufacturer logo, stenciling, etc.), and numerous profiles of a number of different aircraft. All illustrations are black/white, but m...

IPMS/USA Quarterly article

Digging through old IPMS/USA Quarterlies, I came across the following which may be of some interest:

"Italian Camouflage & Markings" by Steve Cook, IPMS Quarterly Vol. 18, No. 3 (Spring, 1983), p. 43-48.

Gera;

Amazing work! I've never known anyone working in solid wood. I would love to see more of your work. And I hope you ways to promote it; a "how to" book would be interesitng to see.

Re: Macchi C.200 over Malta?

Help!

I'm working on the Pacific Coast Models Macchi C.200. I've built the Vector resin Fiat A-74 engine. As far as I can see, there's no way in the world to get the engine inside the kit's resin cowling (even the kit's less detailed engine won't fit). Does anyone have a solution? :?

Re: RA use of fasces wing insignia

:thumbup:

And thanks again for everything I'm learning here - I'm having a blast! :biggrin:

Ok, NEXT frustration - the only 20mm I have are the AerMacchi style. Checking the Stormo decals, it LOOKS like Aces Part I might have the ones I need. What do you think, Vince?

Re: RA use of fasces wing insignia

Thank you, Vince. Very helpful.

Would this information get lost somewhere in the Color Guide? I suspect would want to know this.
