I was researching something else and discovered there are several articles related to Italian aviation. Thought they might be of interest:

Re: My Tangerine Dream
I spent a lot of time on Scalemates comparing paints to my memory and the postcard I have from the era from Bartow AFB. I finally settled on Mr. Color 58 Orange Yellow. I'm really pleased with decision; I believe it is a very close approximation. Thanks for the note re: the revision; I found it. For...

Re: My Tangerine Dream
It's taken a couple of months to move along this far (initial painting disaster required stripping it all down and starting over again!). And I've still got a long way to go. But I want to show the decals Vince so generously provided for this project.

Re: My Tangerine Dream
Wow, we're almost at the same point. Here's my 1/48th Ocidental build. Mine will represent a USAF advanced trainer of the 50's.
BTW, I'm REALLY curious how you obtained your print copy of the Federal Standard 595C Colors?

Kriss, you might consider this detail set:

I used it for my last build, found it much better to work with that the Eduard "Big Ed" set, produced very nice results.

Also gorgeous! My experience with my 1 PCM model was a mixed bag - great having the added detail, but getting everything to fit together was a bit of a challenge.

Wow, gorgeous! Representing the Battle of Malta is a passion, so I'm very interested in learning more about your aircraft. And, by all means, more photos!

Re: My Tangerine Dream
I wish I could provide a detailed bio. Unfortunately, preserving family history was not our strong suit. We lived in Lakeland, Fl, from about '54 to '59 while Dad worked at Bartow AFB as instructor in AT-6 Texans. He started his aviation career as a crop duster post-WWII. He spent 20+ years with the...

Re: My Tangerine Dream
So your hints suggest this is a T-6, right? A subject close to my heart, as my earliest memories are my dad as a civilian instructor for the USAF in T-6. The work and level of detail is beautiful.
