Re: Vita aRoma

Re: Reggiane Re 2000 (life in U.K. and Italy)

Actually, why don't we try and make an internet database as they do in http://www.cockpitinstrumente.de/ , what do you think Vince? A. I think we could do this. What I had in mind originally was more sophisticated using a SQL database and a customized front-end search engine. The reason I didn't ge...

thanks for your help Paolo.
As of generalisation, you will agree that to a certain extent you need to generalise. I know hundreds of gallant Italians, but if you compare the conduct of the two societies you will also have to agree that the English society is a safer and less prone to crime one.

Hello Alex, After reading your comments (I also read and speak italian) ....l'unica grande differenza e' che qui la gente e' MOLTO piu' educata ed onesta...., I find that you are generalizing. I do not wish to turn this into a political debate or offend anyone on this forum. If you find a differenc...

well it's a generic operational manual, you have the various systems description, but hardly any picture of the actual instruments. Nothing like the Germans, who had manuals even for nuts and bolts  Yup, still in the UK and loving it! I manage to go back to Italy every couple of months or so, ...

hehehe I love these debates about "which one you think is better"? It must be a men thing, as we do it with everything: cars, bikes, women, BBQs.. Don't get me wrong, I used to do that too, but then I came to the conclusion that it doesn't matter who's better on paper, it's all about the context of ...

Hi Aeroal, the wings of Italian planes are renowned for their sturdiness, and the Breda one is no different! If you have the Ali d' Italia book about the Breda, have a look at the structural view of the wing: it's a double spar tubular structure with aluminium ribs and skin, a really robust but heav...

Grazie Vince, I got a copy of the manual, but unfortunately there are no close ups of the upsaid instrument :(
How are things btw? Long time no talkie talkie :0P

Grazie Stefano, I'll look into that. I also tried contacting the Swedish Air Force museum, they have a lovely exemplar there!

Hi guys, I believe that the answer should be looked into the design of the machines: the Kate was longer, sleeker and above all had a larger wingspan and wing surface. From Wikipedia (I know, I know...) B5N Crew: 3 (1 pilot, 1 commander and 1 backgunner/radio operator) Length: 10.30 m (33 ft 9½ in) ...

Reggiane 2000 instruments pictures

Hi fellas, I have been looking through my reference material for quite some time now, but couldn't find any relevant material on Italian gauges. I have some close up pictures of Italian instruments, but not of all of them unfortunately :( I'm looking in particular for secondary instruments of Reggia...

Ok, as promised I worked on a more accurate study on the Breda SAFAT 12,7mm machinegun and its ammunition, the 12,7x81mm SR (semi rimmed). I divided my study in three parts, the data available, the machinegun and ammunition performance, the practical use of the guns. All these informations have been...
