Hi Peter

Hi Carlo, I have ordered the kit and I'm nog going to use the reverse underwing roundels as I plan to build a Spanish version. How urgent do you need them? Kind regards, Peter Peter, you are simply GREAT. Thanks a lot: I am in no hurry at all, what matters most is to have the decals, it does not ma...

Desperately seeking................

Hello everybody, I am desperately seeking the greatest favour from anyone of you who might satisfy it: I am building a Supermodel 1/72 SM 81 Pipistrello and I am painting it according to the 3 colours wide band scheme used pre war. I understand that the roundels on the wings' lower surface were blac...

A3 scheme

Hello everybody,
according to table 3 , scheme A3 was used for SM81 too. Is there any pictorial reference/photograph of any SM81 camouflaged that way? Thanks a lot for help. Carlo

Thanks Vince and Shane, your advice is really helpful. Unlike many other planes there seems to be a rather poor source of visual information as far as the SM81 is concerned. Once again thanks a lot anyway.

HELP HELP HELP !!!!!!S.M. 81 camouflage patterns requested!!

Hello everybody, I am desperately seeking colour profiles of the S.M. 81 Pipistrello, both concerning Spanish Civil War and Second World War. Another question : the pattern scheme as suggested by the Supermodel 1/72 kit shows an aircraft painted in light green (supposedly verde 53192) with large blo...

Vince

Vince, I basically agree with you, you are far more expert than me (I am just beginning modelling after a 25 years pause!!) . If you don t know Tauromodel production it is interesting to give a look to their site www.tauromodel.it : there you will find the A.O.I. based SM79 I am referring to. Thanks...

THANKS

Thank you folks, appearently both versions are true and valid. If you consider for instance the band on Cr 32 in A.O.I. you will realize the WHITE area with its "X" shaped cross was just on the sides of the fuselage but not on the upper and lower sides: so teh same "COULD" go for our SM79 too. But t...

Another short question about SM79

In A O I Regia Aeronautica used to paint a white band with a black cross on it similar to that in Spain (see for a quick reference the Tauromodel decal sheet 72513 : it shows a plane belonging to 44 Gruppo bis Bombardamento Terrestre) . Now the question is : was this band ONLY on the sides of the fu...

sm 79 I serie in WWII

I have a 1/72 Italeri SM 79 I serie to build, Spain war period basically. Does anyone know if this Serie I was somehow used by the Regia Aeronautica in the IIWW as torpedo bombers?? If yes, is there any source one can supply that shows squadrons, camo schemes and so on ?? Thanks a lot to everybody. ...
