Re: SEM Models

The molds for sure would have probably gone back to someone like Philippe Martin. I should shot him an email if he knows exactly what happened to the molds. The inventory to distributors and local shops who would have known Fabrizio.

Re: SEM Models

Jean posted this a little while ago:

As to the molds and remaining stock apparently it was sold off, I don't know to whom but likely a distributor that may have had a working relationship with Fabrizio.

Re: Retired In Kalifornia's Italian Aircraft Model Builds In Progress Photos

That's a nice build. A 90 degree angle of 66-4 on the model would work the best but I can still work with this photo and the plans you provided. The 66-4 in the profile doesn't look right, and is different than the 66-4 on the model e.g., shape, the thickness of the 6s and 4 are different, assuming ...

Re: Retired In Kalifornia's Italian Aircraft Model Builds In Progress Photos

That's easy enough to do. I'll get to when you start building. Do you have a photo of 66-4, often red appears very dark in orthochromatic film but you can still tell the difference between it and black. Gotta love Gavin Newsom, says he has no more tolerance for climate change deniers but asks Trump ...

Re: Retired In Kalifornia's Italian Aircraft Model Builds In Progress Photos

What exactly is missing, maybe I can make them for you - I'll need to see the color guide that comes with the kit. Did you manage to make it through the fires? I thought I heard El Dorado got hit hard.

Great job Richard! Very well done. If you can write a short article I'd like to include this build in the Gallery!

Re: Cant 506 C

We got a bit of a heat wave in August also. Since we're so far north anything above 25C is too hot for me. I remember living in Toronto, I wouldn't break a sweat until it reached above 30C and often worked in the open as a kid helping my dad in 35-40C weather. The hottest place I ever visited was Ab...

There was only a single prototype that flew on August 1940 which is the one in the photo.

Re: Cant 506 C

Unlikely white, white was used for red-cross and air-sea rescue. More likely as you suggested a light gray/aluminium as in the profiles and photos in ADI#5 Z.506 and the box art of the old Supermodel 1/72 Z.506. The Ca.316 was used for reconnaissance duties and was intended to replace the Ro.43 (als...
