Re: S.M. 79-II

The pattern on 193-1 is similar to the paint scheme of the 1/35 P.40 (also on some later semovente/assault guns), you'll face the same issues: https://stormomagazine.com/Kits_Italeri_RE.htm#IT6476 Look through the net and see if anyone built this 1/35 P.40 (also named P.26) and how they did the pain...

Re: S.M. 79-II

Good job Richard! And great subject 193a Sq. "Uomo Elettrico", Vince Biondi would like it and the camo scheme is unusual - a photo of the plane (only a partial view) is on p.37 in the Squadron Book. In fact there really isn't a CMPR camouflage chip for this scheme, the colors are as C10B but the chi...

Re: Re 2005 cockpit detail painting

The cockpit drawing is from the ADI book. There's nothing specific about the interior cockpit colors of this plane, there were very few that were constructed but there is some info in the color guide that might be of help with the interior green: https://www.stormomagazine.com/RegiaAeronauticaColors...

Re: WTB: - 1/48 Scale

Thanks for the update, I didn't realize Italian Kits was shutting down. They've been in business for a long time so I could see the owners retiring. In regard to out of country shipments, I completely understand as a vendor myself. Enjoy the bottle of Moscato :esmile:

Re: WTB: - 1/48 Scale

That's definitely one way of doing (ie., posting an ad and waiting), and its probably the best way to get a reasonable price. I'd also try some the folks in Italy that post on here Paolo Carli (Icepol), Luca Bossi (lb) and also check out Mr.kit: https://www.misterkit.com and Italian kits: https://ww...

Re: WTB: - 1/48 Scale

The Alpha Flight 1/48 CANT Z.1007 is highly collectible because it builds into a very accurate model and also there just weren't that many manufactured. There are a couple good builds in the Gallery by Jean, Harvey and Angelo worth checking out. Try PMing Jean (D520) and see if he has a spare he's w...

Re: Imam Ro 37 camo schema in CMPR

The plane in foto 53 on p.76 seems to be finished in the C5 two tone camo scheme, however the publishers might have had a larger clearer (wider/complete) photo or several other photos of 39-4. Judging only from the photo on p.76 it does seem to be the two tone C5 as below: https://stormomagazine.com...

Re: VIDEO: Italian Hell March 2017

Vince the small pic of Nikola Tesla was super-imposed on the video by the owner of the YouTube channel, but I agree the video shouldn't be branded this way because it belongs to RAI. The video has received more than 2 million views, presumably without a complaint so I'm guessing YouTube (and RAI?) k...

Re: 1/32 PCM Re.2005 - almost ready

Thank you - it's very kind. Actually painting was quite easy - those MRP paints are just great. Low pressure and patience - thats's all ;-) If you get a chance, please send in an article of this build as well as your G.50 for our Gallery. The Gallery is frequently visited and I'm sure visitors woul...

Re: 1/32 PCM Re.2005 - almost ready

The finish is outstanding. The surface actually looks metal painted over - the best I've seen. I like how you applied a reverse wash of white, that's exactly how to do a dark finish.

Thanks Ken and I agree the struts can be tricky on this plane and you went with the kit supplied windshield after all.

Outstanding detail. The extra wok on the rivets brings this plane to life! Looking forward to the completed model. Thanks for posting.
