Veltro herringbone colours

I received part 3 of the Aeronautica Italiana books and there is an illustration of 22 of 2a Squadriglia, which is finished in the herringbone pattern, however the colours have been interpreted as RLM 74/75/76, as opposed to verde oliva scuro, nocciola chiaro, and grigio azzurro chiaro which I have ...

Hi Patrick, I was lucky enough to visit Vigna this year, though we won't mention the Champions League Final result - the reason for my being in Rome, and I must say I was very impressed with the museum, beautiful location, I think every effort was put into replicating accurate markings for the exhib...

Superb work, and a real tutorial for those of use who are going to build the kit. Really like the dropped flaps, adds an extra dimension to the model.

I was at Vigna Di Valle last month, and the 202 and 205 both had light green wheel wells and gear door interiors, though the 200 had grey. Hope this helps.

You could always try the smoke ring masks for the Macchi 202 here: http://gatorsmask.com/aircraftmask.html or these decals: http://www.mikegrantdecals.com/SmokeRings.html

It's always better that you use the method you feel most comfortable to achieve the best results.

Cheers for the welcome Vince, and there was me thinking I'd managed, yet again, to evade the radar! Kagemusha means "Shadow Warrior" and is the title of a great film by Akira Kurosawa. Kubert tells me the Paulino IV markings are available on the Sky decal sheet 48020, does anyone have that sheet and...
