Well, some times I think its just good to tell people about these things. A type of a confession of sorts, (sorry for bad word usage.) After the war my dad's group was sent to Hiroshima for some unexplained reason. He died of cancer in 1972. Coincidence? We'll never know.

Yes, sadly many verterans of the WWII generation who fought on either side of the battle are going quickly. My father never talked about his time in the Pacific. According to them, they were just doing their jobs.

Welcome Alph,

Nice work on the Folgore...in 1/72 yet, wow. Iwata makes real nice sprayers don't they? I have two of them. So I'm gonna guess that the rings are hand sprayed and not decals, yes?

What in your estimation is the amount of extra prep work needed on this vac kit over an injection molded kit? Twice as much work? Less? Can't wait to see some paint!

I would say, that since I hand sprayed smoke rings on a Hasegawa 1/48 C.205, that at that scale a hard edge on smoke rings is difficult to achieve. A hard edge is made by using tape or some other masking material. A soft edge is what you will get when spraying smoke rings free hand. The smoke rings ...

FYI

In the new Wing Masters #70, there is an article on Spitfires over Malta. Maybe some 411 there.
