Re: SEM Models

Just picked up the Broplan Macchi C.100 having previously built the C.94. I think Broplan kits are underrated. They are not easy but they have a great range. I’m thinking of getting the SM.95 having built the SM.75 and SM.87. All these were built for SAMI Macchi C.94 Broplan https://www.stormomagazi...

Re: SEM Models

I built Broplans AUT/18 kit for SAMI. Neat little kits. Hopefully you'll find the link useful. https://www.stormomagazine.com/Forum/aut18_1.jpg https://www.stormomagazine.com/Forum/aut18_2.jpg https://www.stormomagazine.com/Forum/aut18_3.jpg https://www.stormomagazine.com/Forum/aut18_5.jpg https://w...

Re: SEM Models

I've had plenty of time during the last few months to spend on modelling activities... including re-vamping and expanding the scope of my website as well as catching up on all kinds of models, so I have no excuse! I have recently completed the Brach Models 1/32 Macchi MC.72, which was a bear of a ki...

Re: SEM Models

Its been while since I was on this forum  Fabrizio sent me 8 kits to review for Scale Aircraft Modeller Int.. Only five kits made it: 2 Aerfers, SM.1019, Ro.63 and CNA PM.1. All were tough builds apart from the CNA PM.1, which was the best of the bunch. The other three (RE.2006, FC.12 and Ro.5...

SEM Models

A bit late in the day admittedly, but I have tried to find out if anyone has put up a notice about the fate of SEM Models, whose products have appeared on this website quite a bit. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235067301-sem-model-shut-down-founder-fabrizio-catalano-has-passed...

Always good to see new Italian subjects... they've been a bit thin on the ground recently.

Looks like we will have to raid the decal spares bin for an Italian scheme unless other releases are planned.

One other future release I've heard about is Valom's 1/72 Campini Caproni CC2. One sure fire way to condemn the Delta2 kit to the modelling equivalent of Room 101!!

really like the way you've tackled the fabric effect. thats just how I did it on mine. laborious, but definitely worth the effort. I've been told that the black camouflage for the night fighter scheme was some type of powder and had a very matt finish.

eyewitness accounts describe the sole re.2006 prototype as being in an overall yellow colour (zinc chromate?). only the control surfaces were camouflaged, just like the re.2005 prototype, was sported an overall pale grey (GAC?) finish on its first flight. allesandro bartelli's re.2006 IBN editore bo...

One possible way of finding more reference material is to try and obtain a back issue of SAMI magazine. Namely: Vol 12 Issue 3 (March 2006). http://www.sampublications.com/sampubs.htm In this particular issue there is an exceptional build by Cesare Pigliapoco of the 1/48 RCR Ba65 resin kit. Admitted...

Interesting theories in this post and all quite plausible, especially with regards to the RE.2008, which I was not aware of before now.
