Thanks for the advice Jean. BTW, I've just used the infinity to do smoke rings on a PCM 205 kit. Very happy with the result!

Thanks Jean! That's good to know... I have both Alphaflight kits (as payment for the boxarts and decals). Although Alphaflight are no more, I'm tempted to go ahead and build their 'M' kit, as I think it's much easier on the eye.

Although it has been listed as a future release on their website for a few years now, I did not see it in the AZ Models release schedule seen at the 2010 Nuremberg Toy Fair. They released a 1/72 resin Z1018 kit a few years ago (as a Legato kit). It was quite accurate, as they admitted to using the m...

Jean,

Now you have built both, is the Special Hobby Br.20 better, the same, or worse than the Alphaflight Br.20?

Looks like good times are ahead for fans of Breda aircraft! MPM's 1/72 Ba88 due anytime soon, followed by Special Hobby's 1/48 Ba65 and now a 1/72 K14!

Does a 1979 Pauillac and 1990 Dom Perignon count? I've enjoyed these in the past!

Hi Jean,

Just saw your Br20 pics on the HS forum. Superb camouflage work, as always. The kit looks great too, even if you did have to fight it!

May I also congratulate you on your AFlight Z1007, as seen on the aeroscale site. The best camouflage I've ever seen on a Cant.

I sincerely hope an 'M' does get released one day... it's a pity that the other company (Flying Machines, possibly?) did not manage to get it into production.

Can't help but think that this would have been the perfect opportunity for either Special Hobby or Classic Airframe to release the 'M' variant. It doesn't make sense to me for two kit companies to release 2 identical kits. Would not have been to much to tool the extra parts needed, i.e: modified nos...

Indeed. Hopefully they've matched the quality of their Fokker D.XXI kits, which are really nice little kits. The surface detail on the top wing part suggests they have!

I agree, a good selection... particularly liked seeing such a nicely done Z.501. I thought it looked very smart!

after looking at ali d'italia cr.32 plans, i'm sure the correct choice would be the drawing at the top. the aileron winglets are mass balances, in effect, so the other two would not be appropriate (in my view).

the drawing at the bottom of the page would be correct for the cr.42 though.

Any more news on the Italian Classic kit? Its been a while now... I do hope this model will be released one day. Incidentally, the mondoridotto website is down, so I'm not sure if this company is still in business.

Thanks for shedding some light on the apparent GAC 'mis-nomer'. It always puzzled me that, despite the words 'light grey blue' being used to describe the paint, the actual colour is anything but. This is backed up by the official Humbrol 141 paint combination mentioned in Stefano's post.
