Marus jacket!

Post by Alex T. » Sun Jul 19, 2009 7:02 am

It's always been one of my "forbidden dreams", owning a Marus, the standard jacket with fur collar used by Italian pilots during WW2 and later.
Our friend Maurizio once gave me a contact for a person who might have still some, but I lost it (needless to say, feel free to send it again when you read this Mauri!). Anyway, I was wondering that since there's such a revival for alleged flight jackets (especially USAAF and Luftwaffe), wouldn't it be cool to have the Marus produced again by a modern supplier?

Cheers

Alex

Yes absolutely, I'd buy one ! In fact I'd probably carry them if I could.

Maurizio, do you still have the contact of that guy? We might try and ask him if he could provide one to use as a template, then contacting one of the many vintage clothing producers and see if they would do a limited batch for us.
