Great News Here For 1/48th Modelers...

Post by RetiredInKalifornia » Sun Sep 29, 2019 4:49 pm

...As for us 1/72 folks, Italian Kits Wings told me months ago via e-mail they're going to re-release their 1/72 IKW7204 FIAT G.50V kit but didn't say when. They've got 1/72 Savoia-Marchetti 75, 79 & 83 civils listed "for future release" but no info when, want to build a militarized 75 but may be in for a long wait till one comes out. They also have the FIAT G.18/18V listed even with parts photos but again may be in for a long wait till it comes out. Cunarmodel has the Caproni 135S available, will buy one next year. SEM Model may reissue their CANT Z.506C Italeri Z.506B conversion resin kit hopefully next year as well. There's lots of Internet info & photos of the 1/72 BroPlan vacuform Aeronautica Umbra Trojani 18 well as the Aviation USK vacuform Caproni 133 but they're near impossible to get, if I can't get either by January 1, 2022 will give up looking.

That's a great list of kits available and coming down the tube. I'd love to see a FIAT G.50V and a Ca.135, we have neither a 133 or 135 in the Gallery - incredible.

Note the LF Models Karponi-Bulgarski KB-6 a.k.a. Ka-309 next to it, both were bears to build though the KB-6 was less so:
