I am also Italian from Venice and I live in the U.K. Italy and England are both beautiful and welcoming in their different way, there are nice and bad people in both of them just accept that and do not slag Italy.
FORZA ITALIA!!!

P.S. looking in my CD library for photo of the instrument panel of the Re 2000
Of course there are good and bad people in both countries, this is not the point, it's the quality of life and the average people behaviour. Can I ask you why you decided to move to England in the first stance? (and why to such a rough place anyway? )

Uh and yes please, I would be really grateful if I could have these pictures! Are they wartime pictures or modern close up pictures? I need to be able to read the instrument faces on the panel. I can offer you electronic copies of other Italian planes in exchange. Actually, why don't we try and make an internet database as they do in http://www.cockpitinstrumente.de/ , what do you think Vince?

Reggiane Re 2000

Yet again you are generalizing !!
I live in a village on the Saddleworth moors one of the most
pictoresque areas of Britain (Bronte/Last of the summer wine country)
as I do not like towns.
I married an English girl and lived in London, Chelmsford and Cambridge
before retiring in this quaint Yorkshire village.
I have got four of the five books about Reggiane, if you will email me
your address I will gladly put them on a CD for you.
My e mail address is; paolo.davanzo@sky.com.

thanks for your help Paolo.
As of generalisation, you will agree that to a certain extent you need to generalise. I know hundreds of gallant Italians, but if you compare the conduct of the two societies you will also have to agree that the English society is a safer and less prone to crime one.

I think we could do this. What I had in mind originally was more sophisticated using a SQL database and a customized front-end search engine. The reason I didn't get around to doing it was because of the amount of effort to design and implement such a database. What they have in the link is a simple collection of pages and links to pics. Its not very functional but it does the job.

Vita aRoma

Post by Rick » Mon Apr 26, 2010 10:50 am

r.trotta@postanet.it

Ciao

Riccardo
