Macchi fighters - wing question

This might seem a bit ignorant, but why was the left wing longer than the right one on MC.200/202/205?

It was to counter engine torque. An elegant solution really. One other aircraft to share this feature was the Breda Ba65. Others, such as the RE.2005, had an offset rudder. The Cr42 had the engine aligned off cente by half a degree. Some twin-engined aircraft had props rotating in opposite directions. I'm sure there are other techniques, but these are the ones I know of.

I knew it had to do something with the propeller and torque...
Thanx for the swift answer! :D
