Ali d'Italia No.5 CANT Z.506
No I don't have it unfortunately, just need to know if any Z.506C aircraft were camouflaged pre or post Italian Armistice. Will do post-WWII "silver bird" military livery if got the decals for it, if can't do any military then will do BroPlan's civil IF can find a kit somewhere - anywhere! I've got the Italeri kit, if can't do the Z.506C will build it out-of-box, pushing it off till 2021, could be the last "Italian" I'll ever build.Editor wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 7:45 pmDid you check the ADI reference for Z.506Cs?RetiredInKalifornia wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 12:40 pmSpeaking of Italian civil aircraft, if can't find photographic evidence of militarized CANT Z.506Cs will do a civil provided can find a BroPlan Z.506C vacuform conversion kit for the Italeri Z.506B, already got the later.

Here's some photos of Z.506Cs requisitioned for military (red-cross) use. These shots are very early in the war (before June 12, 1940) with tri-color rudders.RetiredInKalifornia wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 10:20 pmNo I don't have it unfortunately, just need to know if any Z.506C aircraft were camouflaged pre or post Italian Armistice. Ooops...
...well maybe there are photos of them in "silver bird" otherwise will have to do them in white provided can find red cross decals. Like I'd said before, if can't get a "C" kit either full or conversion will build the extra Italeri "B" kit, call it "forever" on z.506 line builds.
Re: Ooops...
The Z.506C is a great subject, I think even more interesting than the Z.506B in terms of paint schemes. Here's a few profiles that might interest you (I-DITO is the most interesting and challenging paint scheme):RetiredInKalifornia wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2019 10:01 am...well maybe there are photos of them in "silver bird" otherwise will have to do them in white provided can find red cross decals. Thanks Again...
...and for sure I-DITO is interesting though I-DOTE isn't challenging to paint compared to the civil schemes they requiring spray masking work at the limit of my crafting capabilities, obtaining correct paint colors problematic as well. If the "C" kits have I-DOTE decals would build it given the bird presumably was painted Grigio Azzurro Scuro 3/Grigio Azzurro Chiaro 1.

Re: THE NEW FORUM!
Cant 506 c
Can anyone tell me where I can get a three-view 1 72 scale drawing of the Cant 506 c. I can not find a kit of one so I would like to convert the 506 b to a c.
Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Re: THE NEW FORUM!
ADI #5 has line drawings for the Z.506C but only for the port side, the same as the scan above for I-DITO and I-DOTE.Vincent Fiore wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 2:53 amCant 506 c

Re: CANT Z.506C
Vince do you sell ADI 5. If you do I will buy one from you. If you do not can you tell me where I can buy a copy.
Of course I can send the money when I can cross into Spain again and send it Western Union. Hope it will be soon.

Re: CANT Z.506C
I do have ADI #5, but I don't think you need it. The line drawings in ADI #5 only provide a port-side view (one view only) of the Z.506C (not three way views). Scroll up in this topic and you can see the profiles you need for a Z.506C, or click the link below:

Re: CANT Z.506C
Hi Vince,
Thank you for the rapid response. When the borders are open again and I can send money for the kits I will also buy the book. Instead of sending the kits to my sister in the States send everything to me in Morocco. When the borders are open again I will let you know and I will send my address here in Morocco.
Best Regards,
Vin

Long Belated Post On My Finding A CANT Z.506C Conversion Kit
February 10, 2020 purchased a 1/72 scale BroPlan MS-44 CANT Z.506C Vacuform Conversion Kit with injected plastic & etched brass detail parts from Aviation Megastore in the Netherlands it arriving on February 17th. The earliest I might get to building it is during August 2020, check the Retired In Kalifornia's Aircraft Model Builds In Progress Photos forum thread then for build news.
