Regia Aeronautica Kit of the Year

Post by GAJouette » Sun Jan 06, 2008 12:38 pm

Hello All,
I've noticed it's been kind of slow here at Stormo lately. How about a RA kit of the year and a group favorite too.Let's see how much responce we can all gather here. My vote for RA kit of the year is the PCM Reggiane RE 2005 in 1/32 scale,as for my favorite I've got go with PCM's Macchi MC 202.Yes I know the 202 is a tough kit to build .I'm still fighting mine.
Let's close this poll by Febuary 6,that gives you all one month to cast your vote for Regia Aeronautica Kit of the Year for 2007.Our favorite RA kits can be from any year you wish.Any scale is fine. What do you all think of this idea?
Regards,
Gregory Jouette :?:

I would go for Italeri's 1/48 CR42 and SM82 in 1/72.
Presentation on both kits is excellent, however,I've yet to start building!

Great post, my pick for 2007 would be:

Special Hobby 1/48 FIAT G.55

The Noix Schneider Trophy racers are also nice and interesting kits.

I'd have to say the SH G.55 is the kit of the year. Does the CA Fiat Cr.32 qualify as a candidate ?

Both 1/48 and 1/72 kits. I haven't seen the new Italeri SM.82, but I'm dying to get my hands on one.
Just build it!

José Lucero

Working on:
1/35 Autoblnda AB.41
1/48 P-47D Brazilian Jambock Squadron Senta Pua!

Gregory-kit of the year...........
The Italeri SM82,well presented, parts very clean and can do 3 different versions;also slightly unusual model,by that I mean off the mainstream types.
Excellent book included and the box art is reproduced as a seperate item so that you can frame it.
That's my nomination :D :D :D :D

Regia Aeronautica Kit of the Year and Favorite RA Kit.

Post by GAJouette » Mon Jan 07, 2008 6:25 pm

Hello All,
The Regia Aeronautica kit of the year must be a new kit out in 2007.Not a reissues of an older kit. However your favorite kit can from any year new or a reissue. Both your nominations for RA kit of the year and favorite can be in any scale you choose as long as your nominee was flown by neighter of the Italian Air Forces. One final request please clearly state your nominations as Kit of the Year and Favorite.
Regards,
Gregory Jouette

My favorite is Italeri's wounderful SM.82, it builds like a dream. Would'nt it be great to have a set of decals to build a "Linee Aeree Transcontinentali Italiane S.A". Maybe Pavla will do the biz, I hope so.

A strong second, in my humble opinion is Special Hobby's
1:48th G.55, what a magnifacent aircraft.
Regards
Dave.

I have to say my choice for Kit of the Year would have to be the 1/48 Italieri Fiat CR42. I can't seem to find the 1/72 Italieri SM82 anywhere locally or online...but when I do, you can be sure I'll buy it! :D

Hello
I was just wondering how the special hobby G.55 kit compares to the flying machines kit (with optional torpedo version)?

Is the fuselage accurate length and size?
