Vince/Gentlemen,

Further to my previous post, I include an additional selection of photographs for your viewing, taken at this year's IPMS UK Scale Modelworld Championships, showing Italian subjects on display in the competition and on non IPMS UK SIG Italia tables. I apologise for the occasional focus problems I was having with my camera on the day.

Regards,

Aeroal.

I had not been to Telford since 2007 and it was good to see a wide selection of Italian based models on display this time... there were very few in 2007!

Chris/Vince,

Thanks very much. I think Italian subjects are no longer the modelling backwater they once were, especially in Britain. I find it quite interesting to note, however that colour research and efforts to accurately replicate intricate mottled schemes quite frequently fall far short of the mark, although there were some truly beautiful replicas of Italian machines, of all types, on show at Telford. Talking of which, I don't know about you, but I was amazed at the amount of money spent at Telford this year. It must have run into millions. You would not have thought the world was in a recession!

Regards,

Aeroal.

Aeroal, thank you for the update, some great subjects and modeling work! The SM.79 with the engine cutout is terrific. Do email me your address, and I'll send you a few items for your next SIG.
