Hi all,

here is my build of this horrible Italeri kit

Cockpit is without photoetched parts. I would like to use Eduard photoetched set.




Both cockpit walls have a diffrent height






I had deleted all horrible panel lines I´d like rescribbed all panel lines, because panel lines and rivets on kit´s surface are really rough...





And here are view to the completed engine cowling. It waas 9 parts.

Thanks for the update. I hadn't realized how rough the kit was, it reminds me of SMER kit with some updates to the cockpit. How does the kit stack up to the Special Hobby kit ?

When I did my review for WingMaster, I did say that up to now, the PCM model was still at the top for a decent MC 200. The model is of a better standard than the Re2002, but still a long way from a definite and reliable representation of this Classic Italian bird. BTW Kubrt where is the Fiat BR20, finished or in the bin?

Fiat is still in progress... I´m sorry, but I can´t finish this kit yet...

I have to agree that it's a pretty rough kit. When I made my version recently I found that I had to do a lot of cleaning up and filling to get a decent finish. The kit is much improved by the Eduard detail set. Quickboost do machine gun barrels and Pitot tubes for this kit also. I don't know if adding these details is worth it if the kit is that bad in the first place. I posted my build of this kit (with the Eduard and Quickboost bits) recently. If you do finish your version, perhaps the forum could compare them.
I always use detail sets, when I can, to get a better result. Sometimes I think that the moulded detail on the original kit is quite good anyway, but in this case I wouldn't have bought the kit until Eduard released a detail set.

I have all resin parts from Quickboost and Eduard photoetch too All of this goodies is quite good for this kit. I would like to have better engine, but I don´t know, if someone doing it? I want to continue this weekend with my build. I'm curious about your building Dave

If you go to the post Macchi C200 and look past the earlier 1/72 build you will find my humble efforts to master this kit.
