Italian Air forces have used the Bf 109 in substantial numbers, both with th RA and with the ANR. Here we have a sampler of the Bf 109 G6/R6trop frm the 70° squadriglia, 23° Gruppo, 3° Stormo CT at Cerveteri in August 43. Colors are RLM 74/75/76/, German insignias being overpainted with Griggio Azzuro Chiaro. The G14 is the mount of Maggiore Bellagambi while in command of the 5° Squadriglia, 2° Gruppo di caccia, at Ossopo in March 45. My sampler is finished in RLM 74/75/76, but could also be 75/83/76, the rudder is RLM 81/82 and German insignia are still carried. The Diavoli Rossi badge is on an Oliva Scurro background. Both models are Hasegawa in 1/48th scale.
RA and ANR Bf 109.

4-70
Ciao Jean
Very, very nice models as usual! For precision sake the german insigna obliteration on the sides of 4-70 had this shape; Mr. D'Amico sent me this photo and I think it is reliable; unfortunately several profiles have been published even recently showing not perfectly obliteration that can cause misunderstandings

Ciao Jean
If in the future for your models (RA and ANR) you should need some photo, don't hesitate to contact me; if I have, I shall provide you without problems
