...The coming-up 50 year-old Italaerei kit came out less than two years after I'd quit building models though was one of the earliest ones I'd built after resuming the hobby in earnest c. August 1978. Its a good, solid kit though tad heavy in surface detailing typical of models back then. Like number of Italaerei/Italeri & SUPERMODEL kits build option parts were provided, not much the case for other model makers of the day save Matchbox & later FROG kits, definitely not the Japanese kits, had to separately buy each variant of a particular airplane type.
