This is the CR 42 from Italeri in 1:72, with the Eduard Zoom metal etch set. Following the discussion on the forum I decided to paint my Belgian CR 42 in the standard schema of Giallo Mimetico 3, with Verde Mimetico 3 and Marrone Mimetico 2 spots and the underside in Grigio Mimetico, as I assumed they came from the standard Italian production (otherwise Fiat would not have been able to supply them so rapidly). Besides, on black
and white film the green and brown spots would appear almost the same as their tonal difference is very low, which could/might lead to the conclusion the aircraft were painted with green spots only ...
The entire model is brush painted, with water colours used for the weathering. Decals are from Kits at War, sheet no. K7/10.
This is a great little kit which is made even better with the Eduard set. I'm pretty sure I'll build more.
