Hi Lubos

Very nice job so far.

Couple of questions:

If the tailplanes are early, would it be fitted with the gear well blanking plate?

And why do you spray black before the white?

Cheers

Hi Paul,
here are answers on your questions

I don't know if I understand you very well because my English is poor. If you think the fitting of early tailplanes and the rest of fuselage I can answer you YES. They fitt very well because they were made by Hasegawa for their two limited editions os MC.202.

I don't know why it's possible but white color covers better on black surface than for example grey and so on. I have to spray thicker surface of white color to be really white. Try it

I hope you understood what I meant.

Hi Lubos

I'll try black first....on a test model!

Tailplanes question.....early serie had different tailplanes.

Late serie had cover plate in wheel well.

But could a plane have both?

I think that the early taliplanes were used simultaneously with the cover plate in wheel well.
It's hard to find photos of one machine on which are seen both tailplanes and plate in the wheel well.

Things like painting black before white are the little tips I look for to make my models better. Thanks for sharing and I hope you pass on more tips that help us all become better model builders.

My Macchi is finshed.

I had to change my plans for final camouflage. I found that all decals of Tarantalas' machine which are made are more or less wrong (Sky Models as well Tauro). So I choose this machine.

Next photos I've sent to Vince to the Smoking Ring Buildoff 2008!

I hope you like it. 8)
