Hi Gents, this is the first time I post a model of mine on this forum. This is the basic (to say the least) SMER CR-42, labeled as 1/40 but more likely 1/38, that I upgraded with a fully scratchbuild cockpit, re-worked engine and some other details and surgery here and there. Homemade decals.

That's incredible. I have this kit, its rough to say the least and completly lacking in detail in the cockpit area. I would love to get an artcile of this build if you get a chance. The mottle application and color matching is excellent! Beautiful work.

No problem, I think a short artcile on this kit would be benefical for all, to illustrate what can be achieved from a such a simple/crude kit. I built a SMER C.200 with similar results although you and Davide Splendore (Ansaldo SV.5 in the Gallery) have taken these kits to whole new level.

se riesci ad ottenere questi risultati con questo tipo di kit dovresti presentarti come volontario a restaurare la cappella sistina

if you can obtain such results with this type of kits you should apply as a voluntier to the effort to restour the sistina chappel
