fantastic,!! Did you use a mask , or did you do it free hand? Which ever way supper job. Did you consider some wear on the wing walk and around the engine compartment? If not why not, because you certainly have the talent.

Hi Vincet
camo is "free hand". Weathering is "weaker", because the camouflage was quite new and so survived 6-7 weeks before the change to RLM colours.
I used oil paints, pigments from MIG Productions, and made a slight abrasions with verde Oliva Scuro 2 (original color on the upper surface) and aluminum..

Mirek,
Outstanding G.55 my friend.I love the camouflage scheme to begin with but seeing it in soft edges as you have done is truely impressive.Much more appealing to the eye than the same scheme in hard edges.

Glad to hear!
I haven't started building any kits as yet. I have a huge collection of reference material and kits on Italian WW2 fighters but haven't managed to find time to start anything.
I may ask you for some advice when i do start because your work is of very high quality!

Hi Nino,
I like to help you if it to be possible. Fort start pick a simple model (Hasegawa Macchi is the good) and a simple camo. Old Fiat G-55 from CA in RLM camo is good too (my first italian model in 1:48 scale) And it is important to do it for fun ...

Absolutely fantastic job!
For the first time I can see the "splinter camouflage" as soft as on pictures of the real aircraft.
