Hello everyone I'm building a Macchi MC.205 Red 4 in Rome 1943 using the old Third Group Decals 48-013. Does anyone have a photo of this plane? Thanks.

Hi Kevin, Welcome to Stormo.
Below is a photo of a group of planes at Cervetri, Roma 1943. The photo is likely the source of the subject in the Third Group decal sheet - see the plane closest to the camera, Red-2 (not Red-4). The problem with this photo is that the C.205V in the decal sheet is a C.202 (or at least its camouflage). There were no C.205Vs in the mottled camo scheme CMPR C2 (see CMPR Color Guide on this site). All C.205Vs (Serie I & III) that left the factory were built by AerMacchi and were finished in the smoke ring camo scheme except for Serie VI machines (also built by Aermacchi) that were finished in the herringbone scheme and built in early 1944 during the ANR period. There were some C.205V Serie III that were overpainted in a German-style mottled scheme in 1944 using Luftwaffe colors but not before.
