Col Raffraele Colacicchi's CR.42 AS

Post by Cjohn62 » Sun May 23, 2010 7:04 am

I have a question about the white theater marking on Col Raffreale Colacicchi's CR.42 AS (15 Stromo d'Asstalto). The one published photo is of somewhat poor quality (too much contrast). The Squadron/Signal publication "Fiat CR 32/CR 42 in action" notes that the white theater band did not completely encircle the fuselage; and their color profile depicts this, while Italeri's artwork (and Classic Airframes' as well) does not. Are there any other photos of Col Colacicchi's aircraft that would support or refute this?[/u]
