hallo all
i received my military training in the italian air force at the s.a.r.a.m school in taranto.
this school is also a base named LuigiBologna after a recordman aviator of the pre-war time period.
since the school is located basically almost on the sea it was obviously that at some point it must have been base to sea planes or observation aircrafts or rescue planes like the MAMMAIUT or mother help.
it would be interesting for me to know if anybody knos little bit more about this issue especially if the base has ever been used in ww2 as taranto was very strategically important as the regia marina base for the fleet
thank you ciao a tutti
stefanuccio
