All Models are made with Mahogany Wood, mostly in 1:72 Scale but once in a while I do in 1:48...will post others later on.

Thank you all for your nice words. I started making models when I was around 10 and at the time Plastics were barely beginning. The Hawk models had Balsa wood fuselages and wings and all small parts, like propeller, wheels etc, were plastic.......the plastic era was at its infancy. That was 55 years ago!!....I kept making my models out of wood and still do. The techniques varies and there are many "tricks" to make them easier. Sometimes I mix wood wth cardboard to move faster and no ones notices the difference...pontoons are made this way....The beauty of it all is that there is no plane you can't make....a three view plan, better with formers is just great but if you just have some good photos you can make the model...the Piaggio 32 is from photographs only, obviously it is not an "exact" scale.......Time to make one?..I usually take about two monts working around four hours a week but really detailed ones can take easily six months or so.
I am half Italian from my mother's side and Guatemalan from my father's, presently I live here in Panama. I feel more Italian somehow and have had the opportunity of visiting Italy for the last 8 years during the summer where I have had the opportunity to see some great Aircraft Museums and for the last 6 or 7 years have been concentrating in Regia's Planes....I am in the process of starting the fuselage of the Breda 65, long cockpit with bubble machine gun turret and have started "Fixing up" some plans for the rare " L' Iddrocaccia C.R. 20 bis A.Q". Plan on making the beautiful Caproni 135 and for sure another RO-1 in 1:48 Scale.....
