Fiat G-50bis units needed

The Serie V of G 50bis built by Fiat's own Aeritalia factory in Turin sported the standard three-tone upper camouflage colours of Verde Mimetico 3 and Marrone Mimetico 2 over a base coat of Giallo Mimetico 3 – this time not in spots, but in alternating diagonal stripes along the fuselage and in ragged patches on the horizontal flying surfaces.
Does anyone know which units (apart from 352 Sq.) received these machines?

Are your color call-outs based on factory records or interpretation of the picture.
If the base color is Giallo 3, then the picture represents that color as being nearly brown. Whereas the color chart and FS approximation would indicate that it would be closer an RAF Middle Stone.
Could be a printing issue with the photograph.

The color call-outs are based on a modeling article on page

Be very very careful. I have nearly all of his references, and this build appears to be his conclusions only. A modeling decision of an unverifiable.
One reference shows an aircraft of that unit (352-2) in a Nocciola Chiaro with streaky Verde Oliva Scuro ('Scale Aviation Modeller International', Vol.7 No.2, Feb. 2001, Fiat G.50 'Freccia' by Richard Caruana)
Another reference indicates G. 50 (352-3) was in Giallo 4 with streaky Verde 3 and Marrone 2 blotches "typical of early tropicalized Fiat-built aircraft. (Colori & Insegne Regia Aeronautica Caccia & Assalto 1940 -43, Parte I /Camouflage and Markings of the Regia Aeronautica, Fighter and Ground Attack Units 1940-43 Part One, by Paolo Waldis, Marino De Bortoli and Angelo Brioschi,La Bancarella Aeronautica, Torino / Giorgio Apostolo Editore, Milano). This reference that more yellow was allowed to show on the top surfaces, thus being more appropriate to the desert setting. There is also one interesting picture of G. 50s of 160 Squadriglia showing at least three different camou scheme application, one being the streaky application.
352-3 is also shown in another reference to be the same as the immmediate above reference. ('Ali d'Italia' No.6, Fiat G 50, by Piero Vergnano, La Bancarella Aeronautica, Torino / Giorgio Apostolo Editore, Milano). Other photos in this reference seem to show merely a streaky finish.
I hope this helps put that modeling article in some perspective.
G50 Nocciola chiaro

What is to be considered is that the color Nocciola chiaro had not yet been introduced at the beginning of 1941, being a color introduced by Tavola 10 and by the relevant application notes 147 and 148 dated autumn 1941; I should have some doubt about a profile that introduces this color in that date.

Yellow cowlings appeared on RA planes from about April 1941 (2nd Attack on Greece) to October 1941 and before Tavola 10. I don't think Nocciola Chiaro was used to paint this plane.

Can anyone help me with my question from above? Which units(apart from 352 Sq.) received these machines?

352 Fiat G.50s Question

Howdy, I`m still in the learning stage when it come to Italian Camo , but I`m curious....I dont know if this subject concerning the G.50 has already been discussed or not...but here goes..
The profile on back of the Squadron Regia Aeronauticia Vol. 1 (1976) shows a light green & dark green mottled G.50 of the 352 Squadriglia. Has this color scheme been ruled out sinse the publication of the book , or is this one of those deep "in my opinion" subjects with no documented support. Like I mentioned above, I have no clue....I would love for it to be a valid camo scheme, as I am hoping to paint my Sector G.50 in this scheme. I can see where it could be the green scheme, as well as the yello scheme depending on the photos available. I can also tell there has been some spotty discoloration over the years in the color photos, but nothing that would (here goes...!), in my opinion, rule out the green based camo scheme.
Thanks.......I specifically would like to learn more on G.50 352-7.

Try the stormo color guide and click the hyperlink "CMPR Camouflage Schemes". Look for the C3 camo scheme. According to the CMPR, such a scheme did exist.
