Macchi C.205 Veltro

Post by Kubrt » Tue Aug 07, 2007 12:02 am

Hi all,

here are some pictures of my new project - Macchi C.205 Veltro with guns.

Kit is 1/48 Hasegawa. I have used excellent Eduard prepainted photoetched parts and resin wheel wells.

This Veltro is really nice kit!

kit in Mr. Surfacer 1000...

Nice work on that C.205

Post by jrlucero » Thu Feb 28, 2008 3:52 pm

You're really doing a great job with that C.205. Are the covers for the main gear well a photo etched piece?
Just build it!

Working on:
1/35 Autoblnda AB.41
1/48 P-47D Brazilian Jambock Squadron Senta Pua!

C205 3-3 wing insigna

Post by Rick » Sun Mar 09, 2008 9:25 am

Just to be precise,at page 61 of the book "Camouflage and Markings of the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana" by D'Amico Valentini, there is a photo of the C205 coded 3-3 Paolino IV° and the wing insigna on the wing upper surfaces are not white but black.

Hello,
i'm not sure at 100% but i think that the outer blade of the "fascio" insisgna on the right wing must point forward.

Yes it is possible, but I have only Skydecals, and there are only "one side " fasces :?

after a quick research i have found some photos of aircrafts sporting the "fasci" in both versions. The black outlined with transparent base version seems have the blade pointing forward, while in those with the white base, the blade points backwards....so all is possible.
