Camouflage of Post-war G.55s

Post by Lubos Pavel » Tue Jan 20, 2009 1:10 am

In the instruction of the new Special Hobby G.55 I found information that the whole aircraft were sprayed by aluminium dope. Was it the aluminum color or lackquer with some percentage of aluminum pigments?

Dobry den Pavel. Aluminium dope is an aluminium paint, while natural metal is the shade of unpainted aluminium. It seems that the post war Fiat G55 and MC 205 were in aluminium dope. Best regards, jean.
