WiP Bf 109 RA

Here is my last W.i. P: it is a Bf 109 G6 and the intention is to reproduce the subject 4-70 of RA, based at Cerveteri in summer 1943 with half bonnet open, as the airplane is in maintenance phase; the starting kit is the UM one, 1/48 scale, improved by the Aires kit; there is a very nice profile, besides two photos, on the D'Amico-Valentini book, "The Messerschmitt 109 in Italian service 1943-1945"

Nice work so far. Good to see a Bf in Italian service for a change. I have one Bf in my stash with hopes some day of doing what you are doing. Can't wait to see how your turns out.

I think Messerschmitts also look better in RA markings than Luftwaffe ones! Looking forward to this plane when it's done!

Excellent work so far Riccardo! By the way, I hadn't seen the UM kit before, how does it stack up against the Hasegawa kits?

The UM kit has no problem with respect the drawings aof Aerodetail and of Hasegawa book, while in the Hasegawa kit I have, bought several years ago, the fuselage is shorter with respect the drawings; I decided to built the UM lit because it offers the possibility to implement the visible engine dirctly from the box
