Work in Progress: 1/48 Hasegawa Macchi C.202

Post by jrlucero » Tue Jul 31, 2007 12:35 pm

Hello guys, I've been working on a 1/48 Hasegawa Macchi C.202. I'm planning on doing Giulio Reiner's C.202 Serie III MM7823.

For the cockpit I used the FM cockpit set.

I've already joined the fuselage sides and the upper and lower wings. Right now I'm modifiying the horizontal stabilizers and I removed the upper wing hatches that are for the C.205. I'm facing the dilema as to keep or not to keep the wing armament. What do you guys think? I'll keep you posted.

Beautiful work Jose! The detail in the cockpit and on the instrument panel looks terrific. I don't think anyone can dock you for leaving the guns on, personally I'm interested to see how you modify this area. Keep us posted.

Hi guys,

I didn't realize I had a colored photograph of the C.202 I'm planning to do. It's right on the cover of the Wings of Italy book!! I'll do mine with out the wing armament as there's no evidence that it had them by looking at that photo.

I'll keep you posted.
Just build it!

Hello guys, I've finally started painting but I had to face some nasty joins along the way. I used Italian Gray From Model Master for the Grigio Azzurro Chiaro and from White Ensign the Verde Olivo 2 and Nocciola Chiaro. This is the result:

Best wishes,

Thanks for your comments guys. Well, the nocciola chiaro was freehanded over the verde olivo oscuro 2. I used an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS airbrush.

I'll post some more pics of my progress later.
Just build it!
